Fate:
Left Liverpool for Buenos Aires with a cargo of coal bricks and tiles on August 10th, 1897. Sank in a Pampero on October 20th 1897. The crew escaped in a boat and reached Polonio Point (Uruguay) October 24th, 1897. – St. Cuthbert was registered on October 21, 1884, for the first time.

Cuthbert is Cuthbert of Lindisfarne (ca. 635 – 20 March 687), an Anglo-Saxon Saint. His mortal remains were temporarily kept at Kirkcudbright in Galloway, Scotland. Kirkcudbright means „Church of Cuthbert“. The owners of the barque St. Cuthbert had their roots in Kirkcudbright.
